Good Dry Flyin' today
Just a quick report on a decent few hours of fishing. I hit Metcalf Bottoms around 11am and noticed some winter stones and black caddis about...starting off with a Black EHC brought some small browns to hand right away. The water temp was around 47 and into the next hour or so, blue quills started up...switching to a small para adams seemed to be what the fish wanted and it was fairly steady action for the next hour or so...good mix of browns and bows. There were some Quill Gordons out and about, but nothing was eating them just yet - it'll be really soon though. As the wind pick up and started to gust enough to irritate ya, I switched over to a small PT and found some nicer sized fish. All in all, it was a great afternoon to be on the water - I hope that this means some great action is right around the corner with the Quill Gordons taking center stage - say like this weekend....more like Saturday...when i can get out again !
May you find a rise in every puddle... - WATERBORN
