All streams are now open within the GSMP except a few streams, I think Indian Flats is one of them that is closed. But most of all the others are now open.

Apparently there are 8 brook trout streams that have been closed to fishing for numerous years and this year those 8 are open. I know 4 are in TN and 4 are in NC. I know Bunches Creek and Hazel Creek are two of the four in NC but what I was wondering was if anyone knew of the 4 in TN and other 2 in NC?

    Let me try....

almost every stream that was closed to brookie fishing is NOW OPEN. To fishing, harvest( size limit and daily creel limit applies), etc.

The 4 you're asking about were opened a couple years back I believe. As of this year, you can fish almost any brookie stream in the park. Good luck and tight lines!

Owl is correct. *All brook trout streams that had been closed are reopened with the exceptions of Sam's Creek, Indian Flats Prong and Bear Creek which remain closed to fishing of any kind.

We have copies of the new Park regulations at the shop, just ask at the front desk!
