Obviously I love coming down to the Park each year, but I would add that the area around Grayling Michigan is also a wonderful place to go. It is probably not as pretty an area, but it gives you the opportunity to fish the Au Sable and its N and S branches the home of Trout Unlimited as well as the Manistee, Pigeon and Sturgeon rivers. The AS is one of TU's top 100 and the others are all Michigan Blue Ribbon stream. The Manistee is also a US scenic river. I go there every Fall(actually just returned). It is very enjoyable week with the potential to catch some really nice fish. Also the people in the area are very friendly. There is a nice Holiday Inn and Days Inn in town and Gates Au Sable Lodge and the North Branch Lodge both located on the River itself.
