headed up top this weekend with my dad. we fished walker camp prong and i caught my first brookie. those fish are beautiful. caught 10 in 3 hours of fishing so i guess thats pretty good. we had a bunch of strikes but only hooked up on 12 that day. it seemed like they would miss the fly. we hiked up to leconte that afternoon on alum cave trail. we stayed in the lodge up there and hiked down rainbow falls the next morning. we were about 15 minutes in front of everybody else so we stopped and fished leconte creek. i caught 4 fish in 6 casts. it seemed like those fish were alot more fiesty than the other ones we caught on walker camp prong. any body know why? it was a great place to fish IF you could find a place where you could cast. had a great time. stopped and got flies at the shop on the way to the cabin. i dont remember his name but it was a guy in his 20s and he was very helpful. thanks for the help!
