    Default max patch

Has anyone ever heard of and/or fished at Max Patch pond? I just came across it today & had no idea it existed. I was wondering if anyone had cuaght any decent size Brookies in there?

MMatthews that is pretty close to home territory and it does have a few fish in it. If there are brookies, they are stocked. The best fishing is just a short distance down the road and it is backcountry heaven. Its called Boomer Den and it has some nice rainbows. It's tough fishing and you need to be real careful in the summertime. Also, you need to be aware that the pond is in North Carolina so that you don't get a ticket. Let us know how the fishing is, if you go.

Hugh, thanks for the reply. That's only the second time I've been over in that area so I appreciate the info on Boomer Den. I have a feeling that come spring I'll be back over there exploring some more. Thanks again for the info. Mathews
