Actually..........will be in Townsend this next weekend (26-28th) for tying class at LRO and I hope they have us on renzetti vices so I can see what they are really like......I hope they are terrible so I'm not tempted to buy one [smiley=undecided.gif]

I think all of the vises for the class are Dyna-King. I'm thinking about bringing my Peak vise to use though.

griff, you should bring it as I'd like to check it out. right now I have a very basic thompson clamp vise. it gets the job done, but after this class if I get serious about tying, I plan on upgrading a little.

I've had a renzetti traveler a few years and yes it's an investment but once you get beyond the "fly tying kit" models they are all investments. Completely satisfied with the investment.

I have one of the old style travelers, without the cam. I really like the screw adjustments for setting the hook firmly in place. I never have a problem with the hook slipping now.

Buckeye, if you let Byron know you have an interest in a Renzetti, I'm sure he will allow you to use a demo model. I have the Presentation and Traveler. Yes, they are on the expensive side, but they are superb tools. Take care .. Bill
