    Default The Evil Wind

Ok, in FF the wind is Evil it blows everything around, what I want to know is how some of you get past this part of nature. The wind will blow flies around and make it get stuck and go the wrong way, so what I hear is to beat it you have to face it, also herd you have to dodge it, what do you do to beat the wind.

My Motto: Nature cannot beat Man, but Man cannot beat nature.

Giantfish, this is an excellent question to which there is never one good answer. Depending on the situation, you can respond to wind in different ways. For example, learn to execute a double haul. It helps generate much higher line speeds and thus can cut through the wind better. Another option I've found to help on occasion is to cast sidearm as low to the water as you can. Windspeed will be stronger higher off the ground. Also, don't overlook using the wind to your advantage. With the wind at your back, try a roll cast and you will get plenty of distance....
