    Default Dreaming of Fish

Okay...so I know I'm hooked on fly fishing, but last night really drove the point home.

I fished the Caney that afternoon...did pretty well and had a great time.

That night...of course I told my wife about everything that happened that day...she's nice...she listens...for a while anyway. She turns in and I stay up for a couple of terrible movies that I watch anyway. That's another addiction.

Any way...I hit the hay about 1am and of course before I go to sleep I'm thinking about "the one that go away" that day.

Well, we've got these vertical posts (for lack of a better name) on our headboard and I was gripping one of them when I went to sleep. I can vividly remember dreaming of this trout and just as he takes the fly...I of course set the hook! I've got a death grip on that post (I think it's my flyrod) and then I reach out to grab the slack in the line and pull him in when I wake up because I've just grabbed my wife's arm and scared her to death. I can't help but laugh at the whole thing. She thinks I'm crazy...but laughs a little too after the shock wears off.

Anybody else ever act out a ff dream like that?

Oh yeah...he was a nice size rainbow...I would've landed him this time.

    Take care.

great story. I can tell you that I honestly have a dream about fly fishing almost every single night. I'm never actually fishing in my dreams. they're always about finding the perfect stream, or some pristine stream that is by my house or somewhere I'd forgoten about.
