    Default brookies

    if there is global warming---if summers remain dry and hot..hot..can the brook trout of the Smoky Mnts survive

    They've seen worse droughts than this. They've been there for hundreds of years or longer. They'll be all right!

    I think right now the biggest threat to these little jewels is the devestation of the hemlock population.....that little bug is doing the same thing the loggers did.....

    I hope so, 'bout a month ago I was a controller for the S.E. qualifier for fly fish USA team and I saw some trout rise to the surface, roll over and die. The water was very low and warm as were the fish. It was a saddening sight for sure.
