    Default No Fish Fishing...

Well, it always kills me to ever go into the park and not bring a rod...(seems to be that way more and more because I have my kids in tow 90% of the time)...but as the saying goes "there's more to fishing than catching fish" and for me its "no man ever fishes as much as he wants to" rings true. However,I took the kids camping at Elkmont last night and it was a great time.
Out of habit though, I had to check out the water and and did a little sight fishing....knowing that the drought its making it tough on the fish -man that water was skinny - no more than a seam of water in some stretches....I was glad to at least "catch" a view of some fish in the Little River. There was a nice pod of a half dozen 'bows rising to some midges or some other no-see-umsin a broad pool Friday evening and I saw a bruiser of a brown in a deeper hole the next morning. Other fish to bee seen here and there...

I hope we get some rain so I when I finally do manage to get out again, they'll be something to catch...
May you find a rise in every puddle... - WATERBORN
