Took a long lunch hour today and drove over to the LR. I had my little lamiglass 3wt with me and some dries. The Quill Gordons were everywhere and a few fish were rising. Nothing consistant, but then it was only 1pm and it usually gets better as the day goes on. I fished about 30 min. and hooked a couple of small 8-10" bows in my favorite run. It was good to catch some wild colorful fish again after messing with the local tailwater stockers for the past 2 months.
Make sure you stock up with plenty of grey body mayflies and frogs fanny, cause it looks to be a great month of dry fly action! |

Troutman,
Do you know of any openings at your work? I would like to take my lunch hour on the LR too. I'm not jealous at all so don't even think that. |

hoping to make it down late march early april......save me a few fish to catch on dries...... God Bless and Good Fishing.... bob
