Byron,
That was a hilarious fishing report today. You wrote it so well, I could also see it (unfortunately for some things) and hear it happening! Thanks for a good laugh. I am sure your friend, though, is tired of being the butt of a joke. And to think, now he's famous because of his rear end! |

Thanks Bama,
Believe it or not, this stuff is true and it comes to me first thing in the morning. Byron

Sam,
Many memories. We would tie up our boats at Johnny's dock and eat lunch at the restaurant. Had plenty of good times at Halls too. Greg and I were driving by Allman's one Sunday morning and saw smoke coming from the restaurant. I grabbed a water hose and broke into the basement and went up the stairs to put out the fire. Greg turned on the water. Nothing came out. The water relied on a electric pump and there was no power. I had to retreat. I remember Johnny Sr. arriving on the scene to see his restaurant burn pretty much to the ground. He was upset. There was nothing anyone could do. I grew up about 5 miles from there on Boonesborough Road about 2 miles from I75. Are you from that area? Byron
