Default leaders

relative to the Smokeys---which is better--a stiff butt or supple butt leader---wish someone would tell me the advantages of both--

Having used nothing but stiff-butt, knotted leaders or furled leaders, I don't have much in the way of comparisons; however, from everything I've read, given the relatively short lengths of both the leaders and the casts themselves, you need that stiff butt section to turn the fly over.
