Just to let everyone know, we are getting reports of Steelies starting to enter the Erie Tribs. It appears that the rivers farther east are getting the most fish right now. Oh baby, oh baby!!!!!!!!!
I hope to get out later this week or early next and will send report.

Anything in Vermilion yet, or do I need to go further east? I tried it once last spring on a high water day, want to try to get up on some better water this fall.
Thanks Tad |

Correct. The Steelhead have started in the streams, but they are still short on water. Fish are short on numbers. They need a few rain storms to pass through the area from the NW to bring more fish up the steams. Clear water makes for spooky, hard to catch fish. The snow did not help anything last weekend.
I was talking to the Orvis guide in that area last week. I'm going up next week. I will post my results. Mark < ((((((>< |
