Is the Clinch wadeable with this amount of flow due to sluicing? Has anyone waded it at this level? Thanks.

Might be a long day but the flow should be fine.
Just look for the white topped marker rocks that I've conveniently marked for you. ![]() |

While I was wading at the church Sunday evening, I watched about a half dozen canoes and one drift boat struggle through the stair-stepped water above the church. Not bad, just a lot of grinding and people getting out of their boats to walk them through. The water seemed deeper just left of the river center(as you're coming downstream), but everyone took a line down along the right bank... probably to avoid us waders. I'd say, when the bridge comes into view, if you don't see any or many waders, come down just left of center above the church and then head towards the right as you near the jail and you should do fine.

floated in my kayak down to the shoals below peach Orchard. Caught lots of fish with two realy nice ones, a brown about 16'' and a brookie about 16". All on midges. IMO the river is perfect with this flow for floating to Hwy 61 bridge. Good luck if you go.
