Default Paula's beans

I would first like to say that I had a terrific time at the banquet on Friday and then again on Saturday. I’m sure that coordinating and/or working at such an event invites many opportunities for headaches. Thanks to all of the folks that worked very hard to pull off TroutFest ’09.

I was able to speak with Mr. Humphreys while he signed a book for me. I walked away very impressed. He was about what I expected. I asked him about his fishing trip with Walter Babb. He told me that they went to “a couple little mountain streams not too far from here” and that they “didn’t catch anything under twenty or so…”

I also wanted to inquire about the possibility of obtaining Paula’s bean recipe. I am a pretty big bean eater and those were fantastic.

Default Second That

I second the comments of Jason. I really appreciate all those who worked so hard for my enjoyment. I had a great time. I was really impressed with the graciousness of Mr. Humphreys and Mr. Kreh. Mr. Clouser was great as well although I did not have a chance to speak to him personally. They were so nice and sincerely wanted to help us all be better anglers. I hope they are back next year. And Paula's beans were just great!

Thanks again to everyone who had a part in Troutfest.

I don't live just to fish, but I want to fish just as long as I live.

This was a first for me. Usually don't attend events that have to do with fishing, instead i fish...
I had a blast!! information overload after seeing and learning from so many excellent tyers. thank you Phil,Bill and Tim!!! You guys are artists.
Good to talk with Mike , Bob and Jeff. They are the best guides i know.
I too was impressed by the unpretentious attitude of Lefty and Bob Clouser.Knowledge is power, no need to pretend anything... very nice casual persons.
Thanks to all who made it possible. I'll be back next year and spend 2 days

Maybe Byron could take her to Maryville and let her interact with the "city folk"...

Default Just wondering....

You been "talking" to Duke lately from Bush's Beans?
I am a great admirer of spectator sports, especially on television; it keeps the riffraff off the trout streams.
