Christmas in July! Er uhh... August!

I feel like a giddy little school girl, this week has been AMAZING. I had Freshman Orientation at MTSU on Tuesday and Wednesday, so I'm officially a college student now. I got all of my classes on the first try, which is next to impossible.

And then today crowned it all

I buy and sell paintball guns as a source of money. I bought one for $110 that was broken, and had some Dick's Sporting Goods gift cards that I was able to buy an $80 mask for $30 out of my pocket. I traded that broken gun and mask for a different gun that I sold for $400 earlier today.

Needless to say, I went on a shopping spree! I needed some new tippet because mine was starting to curl really badly, and a couple midges. And then I saw it gleaming in the corner- one of those fancy nets with the clear rubber that disappears in the water and is good for the fish's slime layer. I knew what they cost, so I reluctantly looked at the price tag... $89, $99, what is it? $30 The last one too!

I wish I had the picture of my rainbow from a couple weeks back sitting in my net handy. A little over half of his body was hanging over the side. So needless to say, I'm VERY EXCITED!!!

Enjoy each day of college and be careful not to get caught up in drinking and skipping classes. All you have to do is go to class in college - no matter what; go to class...

Remember too; you are not just getting a degree; you are becoming intellectually enhanced to help you see things in a new light once you graduate... Take advantage of this wonderful opportunity and do not let it fall through your fingers...

Yeah I am going to have to agree with Madison. I just finished up my first year at UT and you can get distracted very easily from going to class and comes back to bite you once the test day comes.

A word of advice: Just write down the key words in your harder classes and then look them up in the book later. For instance, if your zoology instructor mentions the word "oocyst," don't write down everything he or she has to say about it after they say the word. Just write it down and look it up in the glossary (or internet) later. Also, if you are scheduling your classes around the beer specials (e.g, you don't want an 8:00 am class because you know you will be hung over from the night before), you might want to rethink how much you are partying.

I'm not a morning person at all, so my earliest class is at 9:10.

But my career of choice has zero tolerance for alcohol. I'm studying Aerospace, majoring in Pro Pilot. I'm looking to join Alpha Eta Rho, the aviation frat. They're the best behaved house on campus I believe. Flying and alcohol don't mix.

My dad is a pilot for JetBlue, and he said if they have a BAC of .02, they will be kicked off the flight. As I said, zero tolerance.

Dem boys are right, you go to class you pass, period, took me a while to figure that out, now I am in Grad school and killin it, funny how things change as we get older, still dig the beer and chicks though!
