Default Weight? Tungsten vs. Brass

I have working on tying up some small midges. As I am really new at this and some of my flies don't look exactly the way I planned I have been using mostly brass beads as they are simply cheaper than tungsten. So, here is my question just exactly how much heavier are the tunsten beads?
I have asked several folks and looked at several catalogs and seen anything from 50% heavier to more than 2X heavier. What say you? Does anyone really know? Or is there at least a general guideline?
Thanks for any help. Mike

MtnMike,

Tungsten has advantage on density, (the density is more than 18, brass is 8.5, lead is 12). Found this on the net.

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. Different percentage portions make for varying weights within a range of 8.4-9.3 g/cc. Tungsten is up around 19.3 g/cc and is the heaviest of metals.

I was betting on depleted uranium being the heaviest. Nope Gold and platinum have tungsten beat. So for you guys to whom money is not an object, either of those two will get that fly deep.
