Is there any place in town to camp that also has fishing access? I thought about the KOA and Treemont, but seems like there was another. Also, how much can a person wonder around while wading in town? If a person got a camp site on the river, could they wade for a bit behind other businesses etc, or would that be an issue? My boss wants to fish in town and I'm not really certain the best way to go.

I gave up camping near Townsend after I stayed at Dock's motel: on the river, friendly folks, dirt cheap, and clean rooms with tons of character.
Try it once and you will see what I mean.

Yep, Dock's and one other place that has "Bear" in the name and on the logo. I'm old, I forget.
