It's a beautiful weekend in most all of the country. Hopefully lots got to get out on the streams. I thought of fishing Bradley Fork in the Smokies, but didn't
... because:
Where would others have fished had you gotten to? Things that prevented it? JF Last edited by JoeFred; 10-10-2010 at 07:18 PM.. |

Bad bronchitis/pneumonia prevented it the last few weeks but I got out this weekend and fished. I sure was glad I fished Saturday after seeing what happened during that football game ha. I was supposed to climb mt. cammerer on Sunday but fishing brought my cough back on Saturday so I went to the greek fest in Ktown instead. Ate lots of good food there probably easier than mt. cammerer on the legs.

Hanging out at home taking care of the animals and getting started on a new rod. It wasn't all bad.

lack of money( unemployed again..*sigh)
If I had gone though, I'd have wanted to try for more smallies in NC. Last time I actually wore the skunk home, because of my inexperience with warmwater river fishing.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I was moved to post the thread largely because of the tough economy and lousy jobs situation. It has to be curtailing all types of recreation, even for those willing to stay closer to home. I may consider posting a poll if there are enough replies to this one to generate a meaningful list of obstacles from which to vote on.
Thanks again. JF |
