The River
12X12 Oil on Canvas. Not finished, but thought I would share. Weird shadows coming out of the deeper part of this river valley gave a strong juxtaposition from the riffle water you see further up the mountain. Weird, but I painted what I saw;

Great painting! Always paint what you see, even if it is not what you see
 .Have you ever tried finger painting some of your scenes. It can make them look more abstract; but, I like the free-feeling effect. Keep up the good work!

Thanks! Yeah, I have experimented with it but haven't tried finger painting in a while. Still finding my painting legs.

 just have to finish the boulders and add some varnish...oil paint takes days to dry though.
