Default Davidson River This morning

Hey everybody,

Hit the Davidson at 9:00 a.m. today. It was good to see that the water was up maybe 8-10" from the miserable lows of mid-summer. Water was a little stained when I arrived, so what did I tie on? Went with Green Weenie and split shot to get it down in the fast water. Caught 4 small browns out of the very first hole I stopped at in about 10 minutes. Fished only for 2 hours, had approx. 17 takes and landed 12. Seemed to be about 8 browns to 4 bows. The fish were a little smaller than normal, didn't catch anything bigger than about a 11-12" bow, but fish were very aggressive and fun on a 3 wt. Seems like the higher water has really had a positive impact on the Davidson.

Tight Lines,

scflyfisher
