Default Inland fly fishing in Mexico

I am going to be working in San Louis Potosi Mexico for the next 2 months. All I know is that it is located North of Mexico City. Any idea what there is to catch, where to catch it and how to catch it? Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe this needs to go to the warm water section?

LROjunky...I moved this thread to hopefully get more hits in this forum. Byron and I have fished Mexico, but not inland. I hope someone can give you some info.

LROJunky, I have been to the Toluca area near San Luis Potosi. I don't recall any waterways in the area and if I recall correctly, most of the area is almost desert-like.

I probably should have added...

per Byron's general recommendations:

Be very, very stealthy and wear very drab, desert tan clothing. Of course, you'll also be using very dry flies, casting a 10', 0 wt with a 0 wt floating, rocket taper line in desert tan (without an indicator) and about 30' of 10x mono tippet (you'll want it to float, not sink, so bring along an extremely lightweight floatant - like hot pink cotton candy). Leader choice is pretty much yours, but I'd suggest something crafted from a spider web.

Have fun and send pictures!!

On second thought, forget the pictures.

Gerry
