In the past my lunch time fishing spot has been the stream that goes past the jogging trail in Maryville. However now they are in the middle of a cleanup project that has the water so muddy that makes the fly fishing almost impossible. Does anyone know of any good public ponds or small streams near the airport that would make a good substitute while this one is on the mend.

The pond behind the Alcoa municiple building. It's where the new pedestrian bridge over Alcoa Hwy goes.

It was a bit windy but I took my son there tonight, I could almost walk to that pond. Has anyone fished under the bridge near the dock?

I run the greenway around the pond almost everyday. Shoot me an email and I'll give you a little more info.

Ever try for carp on a fly? Sounds like the greenway creek might be a good place. Got it on my list for this summer.
