Townsend are fishing in August

Finally getting a week to spend in the Townsend area in August and was wondering how the fishing is that late in the summer. Not looking for anyone's special spot, but what streams in general should fish decently and maybe some special patterns those on the board here would recommend. Gonna spend some tourist time with the family, but I know there will be a couple of days I can get free to see some new water.

Fishing can still be good that time of year but usually it is warm enough that you will want to focus on mid-high elevation streams. On larger and medium sized streams, the Isonychias should be hatching along with sporadic stoneflies still but not many of those. Really that time of year is mostly terrestrial fishing. Think ants and beetles as well as some small hoppers perhaps... In the mid-high elevation streams, Yellow Quills may be hatching and just about any yellow dry should work fine.

Thanks, that's what I was looking for. Terrestrials are the ticket around here that time of year, but I'll tie up some Iso's and Yellow Quills just to be safe. I'm not sure which streams I'll be fishing, but the family is staying in PF the first 4 days, then I'm camping at for a couple more. Gotta get by LRO and Mike Clemmer's place before I head back to Virginia.
