SW Colorado SEP 2012

Heading for SW CO mid SEP, and after a three day float thru the Black Canyon of the Gunnison will be staying in Pagaso Springs for the rest of the week. Taking the Gang of Five, and am looking for suggestions and advice on where to fish while there. Have three vehicles, so splitting up will not be a problem. Any and all assistance greatly appreciated.

Upper San Juan runs right through downtown Pagosa Springs. The wife and I have fished it before, and it is fantastic. Or make the 1 hour drive and hit up the San Juan tailwater below Navajo Dam.

HW3 -- Don't know if you have already made your lodging arrangements, but if you haven't, I have a friend who has a house he rents in Pagosa. It has a total of 3-4 bedrooms and is on 5 acres of land. If you are interested , I can tell you where to fnd it on VRBO.
