Default Clinch this weekend

Did pretty good on the Clinch this weekend.
Fished near the dam.
The trout were switching back and forth between eating black flies and very small chironomids.
When the masses of black flies were coming off I could get em on a #18 Krystal Kim but when the beige chironomids were coming off I would switch to a #24 brown bug I tie.
Didn't see many fisherman catching much but I contribute this to fly selection.
The ol black zebra isn't the ticket anymore.
No pics cause I like to reserve that for bigger fish (which I didn't get in hand).
Lost two very nice trout sun. To my dismay.
Anyway, this topic has been due a new report.
Anybody else hittin the Grinch?
