[B][SIZE="3"]Couldn't wait to get to the water today. After stopping at the fly shop got to the power house and bear hunters were out in full force.
All fish were caught on a Thunderhead, tied by Walter Babb. The best fishing was just after 1 running turbine was turned off. The fishing will be great this week!! Thank You, Breck Last edited by Breck; 03-06-2013 at 06:09 PM.. |

Did you get to pick up your new rod from Walter and use it on this trip?

Glad to hear the river was fishing well! I saw a some positive posts on Hiwassee.net, one with a photo of a 18" rainbow caught up by the powerhouse, just more validation that others were doing well too! Hard to tell from your photos, did you get some decent size fish to hand?
Looks like I am heading back to the river this weekend, so ready to wet a line again! |

Breck,
Not a bad day at all and of course, anyday on the river is good! Just checked the weather for this weekend, Saturday looks to be low to mid 60's and overcast which means caddis should be decent and could see some olive's as well. Hopefully the shad kill is still actively going, this could be a great weekend to be on the Hi. Looking forward to a couple of days of fishing....my bags are packed and heading out Friday afterwork, on the water first thing Saturday! Tight Lines! |
