Default Trying to get some info for my grandfather...

So, my grandpops is headed down to appalachicola FL. He is at this point in his life feeble with hands that shake like a rattlesnake tail and balance that would compare to a 14 year old after drinking a bottle of southern comfort.

So, he wants to fish in the bay, for some specks and really anything else that bites. If any of you all would know of what tackle and lures/bait he should take, where he should fish, or any guides in the area that may be able to put him on some fish the information would be much appreciated. Thanks again, Dave.

I've got a friend who lives on St. George Island who may be able to put you onto a good guide at a reasonable cost. I'll call him and get back to you.

when my grandfather got to this type of condition in his latter years we got him a zebco spincast rig that he was able to use without help. They make heavier models that will handle most of the smaller salt species that you mention. just rinse in frsh water well and it will last a while.set him up with stuff that can be changed by snap swivel, plastic if he can cast or a popping cork with bait [everything eats a shrimp], have fun
