Fishing Days 2013

I don't know how many total days of fishing I will do, but my goal to spend 100 days in the GSMNP fishing in 2013. I may basically end up moving to the back country for the summer, but oh well.

Just stay off trail and wear camo. Still not so happy about that, especially considering the circumstances surrounding the decision.

Considering 2012 was the smallest trip tally ever for me (6) , I am going to make a conscious effort to get out more in 2013 for a little decompression time.

My goal in '13 is to fish all the drive-to streams on the north slopes of our Park. Mrs. Maps has me staying off the trails for a while, with me being 67 and having fallen kinda badly on upper Rock Creek... without my having sent her an itinerary... while she was out of town for two weeks ... 400 miles away.

If I get to go anywhere out of state this year, it will be to the TN smokies and Townsend. Never been to Townsend or LRO, so it's a must. I'd like to meet Byron and Paula and the rest of the folks down at LRO.

March- Smokies for a week
June- Colorado (Blue River for a week and surronding rivers)
August- Taneycomo for a week

Then maybe some side trips to Taneycomo during the other months. So I hope to get about 30-45 days in this year.

Depending on what part of June you will be in Colorado, consider trying to hit the Salmonfly hatch on the Gunnison if you can. Its tough to hit it perfectly but you will have the time of your life if you get lucky...
