help! can I save my Spring Break?

In the 8 years I've been going the Smokies on my Spring Break I've had at least a couple of really nice warm days.

Looking at the forecast for the the week of 24-28, i don't think I'm going to be that lucky this year.

What advice do you all have? Should I just hang in there and fish or what?...Hike?....I'm not going resort to shopping! *yuck*

Big nymphs and streamers. Walk and look for fish and sight fish with the nymphs. With the big streamers just cover water, mostly pools...

Edit: Should have also mentioned that once the hatches really get going, the water temperatures won't matter very much. Some of the best dry fly fishing will be during a big hatch with cold water because the bugs have a harder time getting off the surface so the fish have more time to take notice and feed...

I was supposed to meet NDuncan for the second half of this week for a fishing trip, but decided to thru-hike the park instead since it's still pretty cold in the park for fishing. Next week might be slow, but might not be too bad at lower elevations. If the dams turn off you may hit a tailwater for a day
