Default Found 107 today - very large

Started early and found a lot. Rain Wed. and Thurs. should do well for one last trip Sunday for Large Yellows.

If you have never hunted morels before, the Yellows are easiest to see, so now is the time.

Good Luck!!!

forgive my ignorance...but is this mushrooms and why do you hunt them? What is special about this creation? Are they just in certain areas? I have no ideas on this but would love to have you educate me some. Thanks

Default Morels

Breck,

You are absolutely correct! This weekend was primetime for them in Middle TN, I found these Saturday morning while I was Turkey hunting. All of these were found within one hour. Sunday morning was less productive in the same spot, but there were 8 deer eating them when I arrived. Just glad my hunting territory and the Morel territory overlap with one another. Makes turkey hunting in April even better.

cbpedigo21,

Thank you for the post. Looks like you had your hands full!!!!

Nice to have a morel partner on here. I think with the rain coming and cool temps we still have another weekend.

Let me know how you do and I will post as well.

Flyred06,

No ignorance taken. You wouldn't be surprised about that fact that most don't know about theses Gems!!!

Here is a link that will answer any and all questions on the topic.

http://www.morelmushroomhunting.com/fullspeed.htm

and
http://www.mushroomexpert.com

As far as regional findings especially in Tn., there are a few on this forum that will help.

If you were to want to try looking......now is the time.

Let me know if this helps.

Breck
