Default More Holston ?'s

So to follow up on my other post regarding take out spots, I had another question. I have fished the holston around nance's ferry, for smallies, and I have fished the area down from the dam and caught trout. So am I right in saying the trout are up near the dam and tend to disapear in the summer and smallies crappie etc.. are found basically the whole drift from dam down? Trying to figure out what the target will be based on what time we try and go. Thanks
