Got out for an afternoon adventure on saturday and went in search of fishable water. So i hit a stream that I felt confident would be wadable. The water was a little bit higher than I expected, but nothing too difficult.

After hiking in a good ways, I dropped off the trail into the creek.

I quickly picked up this Brookie

Shortly after I got this one:

stream view:

More rainbows

Then I picked up this one:

In case you haven't noticed so far, it was a pink weenie day

As the afternoon went on, it was all brookies

waterfall near the end of my day:

Looking down from the top:

Great day to be out there. Managed to bushwack my way out and get to my car before dark, too!

You slammed them again. Looks like a good day. The water looked a little higher than I would have expected. I may be just so used to the low water we've had since I've started fly fishing

Thanks for posting

Great post and nice Slam! Just curious, with the water higher, how were you fishing the pink weenie? Dry/dropper? Did you have to add any weight to get it down?
Thanks
Jed

I was fishing it under a yellow neversink. Nope I don't ever use any weight on them anymore. I just let the current do its thing
