Awesome. My flies aren't particularly pretty but there's something really cool about catching fish with your own flies.

If you're taking suggestions on some easy flies to start with, it doesn't get much easier than a mohair leech. Pretty effective fly too. In addition to the tying equip, all you need for them is hooks, thread, bead heads or lead wire alternative, and some mohair yarn. You can brush the mohair out and even get by without a tail but most people add a tail of marabou, I use squirrel tail.

Very similar to the venerable woolly bugger but with no hackle, it's still buggy because the mohair sticks out similar to hackle.
