Default shad kill

I had heard about one happening on Cherokee lake last week. I went down to the holston sun morning to get a couple hours in before the rain arrived. The launch and the banks around it were covered.

I was at nances. Wasn't much action, must have been like thanksgiving to them.

Never been to cliff ramp. What species might one find down that way?

I do not think that trout go down that far but I know you can catch smallmouth as I have seen people catching them there. I for one have never fished there I just happen to work in that area and sometimes eat my lunch there. There is a small ramp that is in rough shape but looks to be a good area to wade.

I have caught plenty of trout down around Nance's Ferry in years past. Usually only fish it from December through April for trout though.

Oh I am sorry I was refering to Clift Ln ramp. The previous post had ask what species do you catch there and that is what I was answering. Sorry for the confusion.

I knew what was what

Chem, I keep a similar schedule on the holston. Glad I'm not that crazy then. I am usually paddling so if you see the ugliest canoe in east tennessee (red, painted green, beaten back to red) say hello. I usually give everyone else plenty of room so you may have to shout
