I'm new to it all.......I'm determined to take advantage of WNC fishing opportunities but haven't trout fished but once or twice in my 53 years. I have a few friends that fish and plan to learn from them. Are there any particularly good books concerning wet flies & nymphs one might enjoy? Any suggestions for a beginner on basic variations? I'm not ready to tie.......I think I'll mooch off my friends for a while first. I'll fish mostly WNC and East Tn.

Nymphfisher, Welcome to the board. If you are new to fly fishing and want to learn about nymph fishing I would recommend Joe Humphrey's "Trout Tactics". It's been around a long time, I bought mine in 1982 I think. Byron
