![]() What a wonderful day to be outside enjoying the great outdoors....fishing was good today...caught fish on wollybuggers,nymphs and drys....I had a little trouble breaking off with #6 tippet...Is this a common problem when you swap from a slow action mid flex to a faster action tip flex? Or is it just the old baitcaster set the hook habit. |

Sounds like a great day fishin'. I have had problems myself with 6x on larger fish with a faster action rod. I just get excited and try to slam the hook home
. I have to force myself to focus on a soft gentle hookset. It can be hard when a nice fish slams a dry though 8-).
