Default Abrams at Little Bottom backcountry camp site

I am coming up Sept 15-18th. Last year my son and I biked the Cades cove loop then hiked into Little Bottoms. First time I backedpacked in about 25yrs. So, it goes without saying that I was not in to good of condition to do alot of fishing. :P Of course my 13 yr old son survied just fine. This year I am thinking about just hiking in and flyfishing form there up. Is it worth the effort? There was some great looking water, and I did fish some around the campsite enough to see why so many people give warnings about the slick rocks . I am assuming that green weenie and barbie bug, Parachute adams ect would be in the best flies. Any advice would help.
