Gatlinburg road

I have heard thru the grape vine that the Townsend/Gatlinburg road was closed indefinately due to a wash out. Can anyone confirm

The Little River road was closed for a short time last week due to a rock slide at Indian Head. It was reopened after engineers determined that it was safe.

All Park roads were closed again yesterday as a result of the large number of downed trees due to the high winds and heavy rains the Park sustained early in the day. As of yesterday morning, they intended to reopen the Little River Road by afternoon...with Cades Cove Loop taking a bit longer.

We will post on the fishing report today the status of the road closures.
