Default Giantfish and Survival

Hi I'm back! Sorry I had not posted in a while I got busy with projects and exams, that my fre time got busy. So hi to you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No for a question! What would you do if you got lost in the woods with only a blanket and maches. What I mean is Shelter, food and to just survive. Also how would you fish with no pole? What else would you eat, you need a fire too. remember you only have two items! After I see a few answers I will get my Survival handbook out and see if any of you would survive.
Why am I asking this question?
1. It is very usefull information if you ever get lost
2. It's fun
3. I wanted to see how much you guys really do know!
Well thanks goodbye!
Giantfish (I'm back!)

My answer would be very simple, don't get lost in the woods with just a blanket and matches . Why would someone be carrying a blanket anyways do they idolize Linus or something? Don't go into the woods without a knife. If you have a knife then you've got all you really need, though i suppose your book will give examples about only needing a blanket and a match.

How about this; you use a blanket to make a seine net and scare the fish into it or something similar. Then you make a shelter from fallen sticks and leaves, then you use 1 match to light the fire. You catch enough fish to carry with you and you use the blanket to carry them in while you follow the stream to civilization. Better yet, take the matches and set the whole forest on fire. Then you just wait until the forest service smoke jumpers come to put the fire out and you're saved.

Very simple...build a small fire with the match, wrap yourself in the blanket, and cry yourself to sleep. Merry Christmas all!

build a fire and use the blanket to send smoke signals. you'd be found pretty quickly.

From the sounds of it your best bet is to pray that you never get lost with these guys. D

Merry Christmas

All right...use a dead fall limb, and place it in a fork in a tree. then use smaller branches to support it, then cover that with hemlock and pine bows. Make a good bed out of pine bows and pine needles. Then build a fire. Use cedar and birch bark (oh yea, I watch Survivorman on Discovery ). You can eat larvae and bugs and stuff. If you have nothing to boil water in, its pretty safe to drink from little waterfalls. You can either hike downstream or stay and wait and signal with your fire.
