I was looking at a book in my library about fishing and found a million flys.
I mean a ton. do you guys know about how maney flys there are? Now I know there is a lot and I will tie every single one before I die!!!!!!! I will finish the last one one my bed. well just wanted to know what you guys think of that!Thanks Giantfish

hey Giantfish......you could take the number of flies out there, but then you would have to mulitiply that by the number of variations that each tyer has leaving an infanant number of flies......guess that means you will live a very long and adventurous life......good luck on your quest......

One thing to remember, there are a ton of flies that are individiual to a particular flyfisherman that never make it to a published book.

Giantfish,
This is where the "Art" of fly fishing comes into play. *You might consider creating your own personal flies. *That and mastering the ones that you use the most often. *This should keep you quiet busy. *I say be original and an innovator! *Who knows, you might just be the next "Lefty" or "Clouser" * *DryFly1
