Default Florida Saltwater Fishing Report (St Marks)

Thought I would post a thread to let you mountain boys know what is happening down here. I live in the Tallahassee area and fish the St Marks and "Big Bend" area. The flats fishing has been really heating up as the temp in the gulf is on the rise. The water temp was up in the mid 70's this past week and the trout have started to disperse out onto the flats. Red fishing has been good and cobias are showing up. If you come down be prepared to deal with Spanish Mackerel and expect to be cut off. There are also some nice kingfish showing up I caught a beauty on Wednesday on one of my grouper holes.

You live in one of my favorite places. I'll be there in early June and late June fishing for Tarpon. I fish with guides Doug Cole and David Mangum. We've fished a little around St. Marks but we stay on Alligator Point. Have they rebuilt Angelos?

Default Great Food on the Way

They are working on it. We met in the store this spring (one of my favorite places to go when I am up there), you have to let me know when you get here and maybe we can wet a line if you have time. I will be back up your way the end of this month trout fishing and I will drop by.

We have been gigging some founder at niight and it is just starting to get good. I need to figure out how to post pictures.
