Default Anyone on the Elk lately?

I haven't noticed TVA generating at all down on the Elk River...has anyone fished there in the last week or so and had any luck?

The last time I was there maybe two months ago...it was slow going and I was told it was because of the generation schedule.

Any way...just a question.

It's either there or the Caney Saturday morning with my buddy and I wanted to check with you guys and gals.

Thanks and take care in the heat.

Deedub:

Tim's Flies and Lies has a report dated May 27 stating that the river is extremely low. Best fishing in early morning and late afternoon. Friends who have lake places tell me that Tim's Ford is the lowest they've ever seen it, so I bet they're not release much if any water.

Good luck.

I floated the elk last weekend and caught a few on 'tim's trout candy' and parachute adams. I'd probably go to the caney over the elk unless you hate fishing with a crowd. It is free fishing day this weekend too, so lots of people will be out. good luck
