Default Little Tennessee/Chilhowee

Fished Chilhowee yesterday at 6:15 am via boat just above where Abrams Creek runs in. We were looking for eating fish mostly and were set up for boring trolling. Right off we saw lots of trout wallowing on top. Out came the fly rod for me and a spin casting rod for my buddy. The trout cooperated nicely. We kept some walleye and released all but one trout, a 21" bow. Around eleven we called it a day as it was getting hot. In all I took 6 on flys. All were nice fish. My spin casting buddy took 8. The trolling got us 4 walleye to eat and another 8 or 9 trout which kind of surprised me. We lost more than we took on the trolling. Maybe because we were busy casting and paid only scant attention to the trolling rods.

It was weird trying to make long casts after fishing the Park for so long. Anyway yard work today, no fishing........
