Question Paintsville tailwaters

Live in Louisville was wonderin how for away Paintsville tailwaters was. Is it any good? What do you catch? (Browns, bows, both?) Just curious any help would be appreciated. If any of you have any other suggestions they would be appreciated. (already fish brookville, otter creek, and the Cumberland river)

Paintsville is a good three hours away if not more. It is stocked with Rainbows I think.

Default Paintsville tailwaters

I fished Paintsville tailwaters this afternoon and caught about five small stockers. It is a very small tailwater and the fishing is not good. You said you fished the Cumberland River. I would save my gas money and go back to Cumberland. I have also fished Brookville a couple of times and it is much better than Paintsville. The department stocked Paintsville about two weeks ago and the fish are almost gone.
