Default Cumberland River, KY

Has anyone been to the Cumberland lately? I am planning a trip the weekend of October 5. Any info on how the fish have fared over the summer and what they might be eating will be greatly appreciated.

Default Cumberland

I was there about a month ago, flow was about 1,100 cfs and the fishing was fantastic. We put in around Bakerton and went upstream. I have heard the fishing isn't nearly as good below. Water has been alittle warm.
Take some large (size 4,...2?) brown stone nymphs, the don't need to be very heavily weighted either.
Good luck,
John

Fishing has been quite good on the Cumberland. See the story on the link below.

Thanks for all the info. I hope to get up there in about two weeks. Let me know if you have any suggestions on flys or techniques.
