After more than 20 years, I've decided I now have time to give this fly fishing another try. I live near Lake City (Coal Creek) and only a mile or so from the Clinch, so I'd appreciate any suggestions. Also, I'm planning to camp and fish at Cataloochee in May. My cold water experience was mostly 20+ years ago and mainly on Paint, Camp, and Horse Creeks in Greene County with dry flies discarded by an uncle. Only fly fished for pan fish and bass since. I've always enjoyed fly fishing and look forward to meeting some of you on the river...

Hi Paul,
Welcome to the board. You live in a great place. One of my best friends was pastor of the First Baptist Church of Lake City. His name is Brian Courtney. He has since moved. Cataloochee is a wonderful place. Paula and I used to camp there often. It's a good place to get back into coldwater stream fishing. Even if you are not fishing the scenery is unbelievable. Thank you for joining and we hope to hear from you often. Byron
