Default Trout in the French Broad below douglas?

I was wondering if anyone knew if their were any trout to be found below Douglas dam? I am a frequent reader of the message board and do not recall reading anything about the french broad being good for trout fishing, and that is probably not a good sign. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

I was doing some crappie fishing near the 66 bridge once and my cousing caught a 14'' rainbow on a rapala minnow while fishing for smallies. He lives on the river there in Sevier Co. and says he's only done that once before. So ... take that for what it's worth. I don't think I'd go there "looking" for any. On the other hand, we've been into some huge smallies on the fly rod there and that makes it worth it!
