went fishing the other day below metcalf bottoms. caught a bunch of suckers and saw this dude chilling on a rock. it was app. 4 inches in diameter. i can only count 7 legs though. maybe a fish got a spider leg meal.

Yes, I am not ashamed to admit I'm scared of spiders. I think I would have soiled my waders had I seen that thing on a rock.

My son is making crawling motions with his hands and laughing at my recoil as I type this.

Just thinking about it is making my skin crawl.

I seriously believe I'd rather see a bear.

Jeff

a good scorpion would be nice. i've never seen one in the wild. a nice big brown trout would be nicer, though.

We have scorpions in TN? I'm scared to death of snakes, and I had a copperhead swim between my legs while I was fishing a few weeks ago. I think that was the closest I've ever been to passing out. And the thing is, when he realized I wasn't a log or some object when he looked back, he DARTED away.

Wink Stocking Program

It's nice to see my spider, snake and bear stocking program is progressing nicely. At this rate, I will have the Smokies streams all to my self for the fall season.

Insincerely,

Neal

Unfortunately, Bill Gates couldn't afford to stock enough creepy crawlies and bears to keep me out!
